Likewise, in the case of photographs, much of what we would call visual rhetoric is contextualized relative to other photographs in what we might call signatures. Given this context, choose one of the two pictures, the one from Lange and the other from Hurricane Katrina. And then: what's the story behind the photo, and what contexts do you see?
